A go-to-market a founder could actually run

Prospects loved the demo, then went quiet. A workshop that turned interest into a go-to-market the founder could actually run.

01

What they were up against

Game Key Cabinet is an automated key-handover cabinet for car-rental companies, built by a founder with two decades in the rental business. The product was strong and the market gap real: every prospect loved the demo, but the conversation died after it. The market is highly seasonal too, with a short window to close before the summer rush. Two years of cold email, trade shows and direct mail had produced genuine interest and no sales, and the honest blocker was missing social proof, not missing demand. The real buyers, small and mid-size rental owners with twenty years in the trade, sit mostly outside Hungary, across a few hundred firms in neighbouring Europe.

02

What we did

We ran a strategy workshop that worked through the founder's real strengths and constraints to find a go-to-market he would actually execute, not an idealised one. We turned nine operational pain points into concrete buyer value, pinned down what makes the cabinet different from the alternatives, and scored seventeen tactics on impact against the constraints in the way. Out of that came a campaign architecture rather than a channel list: one country in focus at a time, warmed up with founder-led LinkedIn and targeted content, then a single well-prepared in-person week of pre-booked meetings, timed to the market's seasonality.

03

What they left with

  • A prioritised channel mix, led by the peer-to-peer channels a veteran operator can speak in credibly.
  • A regional campaign structure that ends in in-person trips to close warm prospects, not cold outreach.
  • A clear list of non-negotiables to put in place before any content goes out: a website rebuild, a CRM and sales process, and a systematic way to build the network.
  • A seasonal plan: spring for relationships and visibility, autumn for decisions and closing.
